Greetings from Philadelphia! I’ve been in town since Thursday to film live on-air beauty segments for Manucurist Paris at the QVC and return to LA this evening. I’ve been visiting monthly since last year and I’m grateful that the city has become familiar to me. I have my favorite places to stay, eat and shop (content for another blog post!) and love creating a routine while in town, even for my relatively short visits.
Like many of us, I’m currently in a liminal space between spring and summer, between turning in semester grades and thinking about vacation, between working at fever pitch and knowing I need to force myself to relax!
Reflective of this diverse array of elements, today’s post includes some behind-the-scenes from the QVC set (including some of the makeup I wore), swatches of ALL shades of the new Westman Atelier lip liners and some suggestions for the abundance of sales occurring today.
//QVC Behind the Scenes //
A plethora of things have been going on as of late and I’ll do my best to detail the highlights! I am almost finished wrapping 7 college classes (graduation is next Thursday!) and then I’ll be preparing to teach just two sections of online public speaking for the summer; I’m excited to meet some new students and help them continue to develop their authentic voices.
I just spent another 48 hours in Philadelphia for my 5th and 6th shows for Manucurist Paris at QVC …

Arriving at QVC Studio Park with some different outfit options. Even late at night, the complex is full of life with multiple shows filming simultaneously.

Grateful for a private dressing room for the 7+ hours on set!

Waiting in my dressing room…4 hours is a long time to stay alert and awake between segments but I did it!

Here’s a quick look at some of the makeup I wore in my segments:
- Maxine’s Revenge French Face in Light-Medium Sand and Medium Sand
- Sisley bronzer
- Armani liquid blush in Bold Pink
- Dior Highlighter Palette 001
- Dolce & Gabbana Lip liner in Brownie Nude
- Armani Lip Power Lip Color in 503 Eccentrico
- Le Metier de Beaute Gloss Supreme in Beauty Professor
- Givenchy Pressed Powder in 05
- Kosas Setting Spray
- Hair was my new Académie Hair formula (launching soon) and trusty T3 Hot Rollers
Westman Atelier Lip Liner Shade Breakdown:
- Coucou (neutral pinky taupe—I bought this one)
- Biscuit (beige coffee)
- Je Reve (blush nude)
- Lou Lou (deep wine)
- Sable (warm rich beige)
- Minou (mulled peach),
- Petal (dusty nude rose)
- Mink (espresso)

UPDATE! Stock for my Le Metier de Beaute Gloss Supreme in Beauty Professor was recently replenished and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all the positive feedback you’ve shared with me. Thank you…it’s a modern classic that works well on all skin tones, all year round. Have you tried it yet?
